Trivia: Not just in the stage play, Santha Kumari acted in the movie Sarangadhara (1937), during which time the director of the movie P. Pullaiah fell in love with her. They eventually married the same year. Santha Kumari played a negative role of Chitrangi with equal élan.
This was the debut film for Pullaiah as a director.
